Thousands of flights in the US were suspended or canceled this Wednesday due to a malfunction in the system of the American aviation organization FAA, which has since been resolved.
In a publication, via the social network Twitter, the FAA announced the “gradual” resumption of flights in the United States, and ensured that it “continues to investigate the source of the problem”.
The FAA is working to restore the air mission notification system. We are running final validation checks and are now reloading the system.
Operations throughout the National Airspace System are affected.
We will provide regular updates as we make progress.

Authorities estimate that more than 4,000 flights were delayed and about 700 were cancelled.
Domestic flight departures in the US were suspended until 2:00 PM GMT to address the outage affecting FAA systems.
US President Joe Biden, quoted in a statement, said he had been in contact with Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and the causes are not yet known.
“I asked him to inform me immediately as soon as he knew what happened. They still don’t know, but hope to find out in a few hours so that the necessary measures can be taken,” he said.
White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre had already stated, also via Twitter, that at this time there is “no sign” that the suspension is related to a cyber-attack.
The President was notified this morning by the Secretary of Transportation of the failure of the FAA system. There is no evidence of a cyberattack at this time, but the president has ordered DOT to conduct a full investigation into the causes. The FAA will provide regular updates.
