The chief adviser to the Ukrainian president’s office, Mijkhailo Podolyak, this Saturday pressured Kiev’s allies to “think faster” with regard to providing aid to the country, stressing that indecision leads to deaths.
“Indecision is killing more of our people,” Podolyak said on social media, urging Ukraine’s allies to “think faster” when it comes to providing support.
“Every day of delay is the death of more Ukrainians,” the adviser stressed.
On Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the country will have to fight for supplies of modern tanks.
The Ukrainian president also added that several European countries, including Portugal, are available to supply Western war tanks, such as the Leopard 2, which require permission from Germany.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces (CEMGFA), Admiral Silva Ribeiro, indicated on Friday that Portugal has 37 Leopard tanks, but declined to comment on how many could be sent to Ukraine.
“On the Leopard we have 37,” Silva Ribeiro said at a joint press conference as part of NATO’s Military Committee Chairman Admiral Rob Bauer’s visit to Portugal.
