The European Union (EU) will contribute another 500 million euros to support Ukraine, the Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday, after a meeting with counterparts from all Member States.
João Gomes Cravinho added that to this aid package for kyiv, the EU will also add 45 million euros of investment in the “military assistance mission” to Ukraine, an initiative to train soldiers in Poland and Germany.
The European Union foreign ministers also discussed the “complex issue” of creating a court to fight impunity for “war crimes committed in Ukraine or the crime of aggression, which is broader.”
The leaders of the diplomacy portfolio have met today in Brussels (Belgium) to evaluate support for Ukraine, which has been at war with Russia for almost a year.
