Ukraine needs new weapons and faster deliveries to deal with a “very difficult” situation of constant attacks by Russian forces in the eastern Donetsk region, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday.
“The situation is very difficult. In Bakhmut, Vuhledar and other areas of the Donetsk region, Russian attacks are constant. There are constant attempts to break through our defenses,” he said.

“Russia wants the war to drag on and exhaust our forces. Therefore, we must make time our weapon. We must speed up events, speed up supplies and open up new weapons options for Ukraine.”
