Surreal scene this Tuesday at the Tel Aviv airport, our colleagues from The times of Israel broadcast by TF1info. A couple planning to fly to Brussels, Belgium, abandoned their baby and attempted to board a Ryanair-operated flight.
Arriving late at Ben Gurion Airport, they had planned to take their son with them, but had not purchased a ticket for the child.
“All the employees were in shock”
Rather than find seats on a later flight, they rushed through the security gate to board, leaving the baby at check-in. They were quickly intercepted by airport personnel. The couple was ordered to pick up her child, before being arrested by police.
“All the employees were in a state of shock. We had never seen anything like this. We couldn’t believe our eyes,” Ryanair said in a statement collected by the local press, TF1info said.
The police have seized the case, and “it is not known if the couple and the baby ended up on the plane,” he explains. The Times of Israel.
