A total of 15 European commissioners, including vice-presidents Margrethe Vestager and Valdis Dombrovskis, arrived in kyiv on Thursday with Commission President Ursula von der Leyen for a series of bilateral meetings with the Ukrainian government.
Until this Thursday morning there was no information on how many flight attendants would travel with von der Leyen for security reasons and after consulting the Ukrainian authorities.
The Vice President and Commissioner for the Digital Transition Margrethe Vestager, the ‘Vice President’ Valdis Dombrovskis and the High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, lead the delegation, which also includes the Vice Presidents Maros Sefcovic (Interinstitutional Relations), Vera Jourová (Values and Transparency) and Margaritis Schinas (Promotion of the European Lifestyle).

The rest of the European delegation is made up of commissioners Nicolas Schmit (Employment and Social Rights), Paolo Gentolini (Economy), Janusz Wojciechowski (Agriculture), Didier Reynders (Justice), Ylva Johansson (Home Affairs), Janez Lenarcic (Management Crisis ), Olivér Várhelyi (Neighborhood and Enlargement), Virginijus Sinkevicius (Environment, Oceans and Fisheries) and Mairead McGuinness (Financial Services and Stability).
