Russian authorities on Sunday denounced that Ukrainian forces are preparing a “provocation” operation in the Kramatorsk area (east), attacking hospitals and then accusing Russian troops of committing “war crimes”.
For the Russian agency that coordinates humanitarian care in Ukraine, Kiev is preparing to destroy a hospital, a detox center and clinics for cancer patients, with the aim of then accusing Moscow of bombing civilian areas.
According to the Russian news agency TASS, the Russian authorities have received information from intelligence agencies that Ukrainian security service agents, accompanied by Western journalists, have arrived in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region.
According to this version of the Russian agency, the facilities that should be the target of the Ukrainian attacks have already been cleared.
Moscow believes that Kiev will use this kind of “provocation” to “increase public opinion pressure” in Western countries, so that allies feel more motivated to respond positively to demands for financial and military support from the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.
Information about the war in Ukraine released by the two sides cannot immediately be independently confirmed.
The military offensive launched by Russia in Ukraine on February 24, 2022 has so far led to the flight of more than 14 million people – 6.5 million internally displaced persons and more than eight million to European countries – according to the most recent data from the UN. which classifies this refugee crisis as the worst in Europe since World War II (1939-1945).
Currently, 17.7 million Ukrainians need humanitarian aid and 9.3 million need food aid and shelter.
The Russian invasion – justified by the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, with the need to “denazify” and demilitarize Ukraine for Russian security – was condemned by the international community at large, which responded by sending weapons to Ukraine and Russia impose political and economic sanctions.
