Third flying object shot down in three days

The US Air Force shot down another flying object, this time over Lake Huron, one of the five lakes, a US official and a congressional source confirmed to CNN.

It was Michigan Democratic Representative Elissa Slotkin who raised the alarm, announcing on Twitter that she had received a call from the Department of Defense reporting that the beloved US armed forces are “extremely alert” to an object over Lake Huron.

“We’ll know more about what this was in the coming days, but for now, make sure all parties are focused on the object from the moment it crossed our waters,” Slotkin said.

This shooting marks the third consecutive day that an unknown object has been shot down over US airspace. On Friday, an unknown object was shot down in Alaskan airspace by an American F-22. The next day, another unknown object was shot down, this time over northern Canada.

Last weekend, a suspected Chinese surveillance balloon was shot down by an F-22 fighter off the coast of South Carolina.

In an interview with ABC, Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said the last two flying objects shot down in North America were balloons, albeit smaller than the alleged spy balloon.
