At least three dead in attack with a firearm at a US university

At least three people were killed and five injured in a shooting attack at Michigan State University, police said.

The suspect in Monday’s attack, a “short” man wearing “a mask”, has yet to be arrested, police added.

The authorities asked the students and workers of the university campus to protect themselves while the situation is monitored.

The university, located in the city of East Lansing, is one of the largest in the country, with more than 50,000 students.
