An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale struck the central Philippines on Wednesday, according to data from the United States Geological Survey.
The earthquake originated at a depth of 20.1 kilometers, off the island of Masbate, in the center of the archipelago, and occurred at 02:10 local time (18:10 in Lisbon).
