The trip was decided on Friday, after a meeting between Biden and his main group . of security experts and organized in the most absolute secrecy, since the president left an air base near Washington early Sunday morning.
It is precisely in this dimension that Germano Almeida sees another demonstration of US capacity, since “there were doubts” about the ability to organize such a visit “safely.”
Biden ended up spending just six hours in the Ukrainian capital before boarding his plane back to Poland, but the visit was enough to show that the moment between Washington and Kiev “remains one of great alignment” even after the American refused. to supply F-16s.
