This Tuesday, more than a hundred police officers, wearing protective gear, were at the landfill site of Ta Kwu Ling, New Territories, at a site about 15 minutes’ drive from the Shenzen Special Administrative Region border.

The police action was aimed at searching for “other body parts” of Abby Choi.

“On the morning of Feb. 22, the suspects threw away several bags of important evidence. It could be body parts or the victim’s clothing and phone, or even weapons,” said Superintendent Alan Chung of Hong Kong Police. Police.

Chung also said “no significant traces” have been found at the New Territories landfill so far.

Members of Abby Choi’s family, dressed in black as a sign of mourning, lined up today at the house where the body parts were found to pay tribute to the model, declining any comment on the case that has been shaking Hong Kong since last week. .

The ex-husband, Alex Kwong, was in court today to answer for a case of theft that happened earlier, and he was not granted bail.

Abby Choi, a popular 28-year-old model from Hong Kong “with thousands of followers” on social media, “officially” disappeared on Feb. 21, according to a report from the Hong Kong police.

The last publication on the social network Instagram dates from February 19: a photo for the fashion magazine L’Officiel Monaco.

According to authorities, Choi faced several financial disputes involving tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars (millions of dollars) with her ex-husband, in addition to “some people” being unhappy with the model’s way of managing the fortune.

Bernard Cheng, a friend of Choi’s, told the Associated Press last week that he believed the model had been kidnapped.

Cheng also recalled in an interview with the Associated Press that Choi has four children between the ages of three and ten.

Ex-husband Alex Kowng is the father of the two eldest children.

The others are the children of Chris Tam, whom Choi married after her divorce from Kwong.

According to authorities, the number of “violent crimes” in the special administrative region is currently falling, but Abby Choy’s case is a reminder of several murders that shocked Hong Kong.

In 2013, a man killed the parents and the heads were later found in meat packing plants.

In another case, in 1999, a woman was kidnapped and tortured by three members of organized crime groups (triads) who murdered her and decapitated her body.

The woman’s head was found in a stuffed animal.
