Ukraine “survived the worst winter” ever

Kyiv’s head of diplomacy welcomed this Wednesday that Ukraine has “survived the harshest winter in its history,” marked by massive bombings that plunged millions into darkness.

“It was cold and dark, but we were unbreakable”said Dmytro Kuleba in a post he published on the official account he maintains on the digital platform Facebook.

“Ukraine overcame the terror of winter”declared the Ukrainian minister, noting that the European Union has also managed so far “without Russian gas”.

Kuleba’s statements will be broadcast on the day of the G20 meeting in India, in which US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Russia’s Foreign Minister Serguei Lavrov will participate.

The meeting in New Delhi – which will last two days between foreign ministers from the group of the world’s 20 strongest economies – should be marked by disagreements over Russia’s military campaign in Ukraine.

The People’s Republic of China and Russia are the only countries that have not validated the G20 document in terms of the war in Ukraine.
