Several people were killed and others seriously injured in a shooting at a church in Hamburg, northern Germany, German police forces and media said Thursday.
“There are a large number of security forces in place,” the Hamburg police added on the social network Twitter, quoted by Agence France-Presse (AFP).
According to German media, one or more people shot at a church.
The German news agency reported that “several” people were killed and some injured, but gave no details on how many.
Hamburg city authorities said the shooting took place in the Gross Borstel district north of Hamburg, Germany’s second-largest city.
