Nashville shooter bought seven guns before school attack

The gunman who killed three children and three adults at a Nashville school on Monday legally purchased seven firearms in recent years and hid them from their parents before the attack, local police revealed Tuesday.

The Christian school The Covenant School recorded the latest shooting at a school in the United States, in which three 9-year-old students were killed, as well as the primary school principal, an assistant and a substitute teacher.

Local police also revealed that the suspect, Audrey Hale, 28, a former student at the school who was ultimately killed at the scene by police, was not targeting specific victims.

According to the same source, Hale was under a doctor’s care due to an undisclosed emotional upset.

Police released videos of the shooting, including redacted surveillance footage showing the shooter’s car driving toward the school from various angles, including one where children are seen playing on a swing in the background.

An internal view then shows the glass doors of the school being shot at and the shooter exiting through one of the destroyed doors.

More footage from inside the school shows the shooter walking down a school hallway holding a long-barreled gun and entering a room called the “church office,” then returning.

In the final part of the footage, the shooter is seen walking down another long hallway, gun in hand, not interacting with anyone in the video, which has no sound.

According to authorities, no police officers were present or assigned to the school at the time of the shooting because it is a church-run school.
