Swedish authorities said on Wednesday that the suspicious powder found in letters received by authorities in several cities across the country is not a dangerous substance.
Several law enforcement officials issued statements on Wednesday admitting that “on closer inspection, the powder appeared to be harmless.”
Swedish police also said there are currently no injuries related to the powder in the letters, after several people have undergone medical examinations.
Security forces have received warnings regarding these letters in 18 of the country’s 21 municipalities, although they have not yet clarified whether the shipments and their contents are similar.
