Two military helicopters collide over the United States during a ‘training mission’

Several people died this Thursday after a collision between two military helicopters in Kentucky, in the United States. So far the status of the military is unknown.

In a statement quoted by the BBCA spokesman for the Fort Campbell military base said two HH60 Blackhawk helicopters crashed during “a routine training mission.”

The two aircraft belonged to the US Army, which, less than a year ago, opened an advanced helicopter training center at Fort Campbell.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear would not confirm the death toll but spoke of “tough news.” “There are initial reports of a helicopter crash with possible fatalities,” he said.

The local media speak of nine deaths.
