At least three people died and several were injured, in the last morning, after several shootings in Marseille, in the south of France, according to the authorities.
The French press reports that the crimes are related to violence between rival gangs and drug trafficking. The three fatalities were between the ages of 16 and 29.
Police sources told the television channel BFMTV that there were three shootings, one of them in the Castellas area, where two people were shot dead and two wounded, one of them in critical condition.
After a second shooting, which took place in the Les Aygalades neighborhood, north of the city, two men were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds.
The third shooting, in the La Joliette area, left at least three people injured, according to the same channel.
Another similar incident took place on Saturday, injuring a total of four people.
Since the beginning of the year, 13 people have died in cases related to violence in Marseille.
