A gunman has killed at least five people and injured six others in Louisville, Kentucky, in the United States. The shooter was eventually killed by police inside the former national bank.
A police spokesman, quoted by Agence France-Presse (AFP), confirmed that an agent of the authorities was among the injured and the department, via Twitter, reported that the “suspect had been neutralized.”
There is no longer an active attacker threat. The suspected shooter has been neutralized.

“There is no danger to the public at this time,” the spokesman told reporters.
According to local police, the six injured were taken to a city hospital. The Louisville Metropolitan Police Department said officers arrived on the scene “within minutes” of calls reporting the incident.
The total deaths are 5. At least 6 more were transported to UL hospital.

According to the American television channel CNN, several people managed to take refuge and lock themselves in the bank’s safe, having contacted the local authorities.
This shooting was the 146th of the year in the United States of America.
