For someone to become “a person of trust”, with carte blanche to freely access confidential data, they must have “a solid and supervised professional career”, defends Major General Arnaut Moreira, in statements to TSF. For this reason, the investigator considers that “it is not normal” for a 21-year-old soldier to have access to sensitive information, such as that allegedly disclosed by Jack Teixeira.
“It’s not that at 20 we don’t already have immense responsibilities, but from the point of view of the intelligence service it doesn’t seem like the right age to me, not because of the level of responsibility, but because she doesn’t have a sufficiently settled professional career. and, above all, supervised to be considered a trustworthy person who can consult this type of document”, affirms the specialist in geopolitics and geostrategy.

Jack Teixeira is part of the Massachusetts Air National Guard and is the prime suspect for being responsible for the release of documents detailing military operations in Ukraine.
The soldier of Portuguese descent was the administrator of a group on the social network Discord, where this confidential information began to be disclosed last week. According to the FBI, the digital trail left on Discord indicates that it was Jack Teixeira who posted the documents to the group.
Major General Arnaut Moreira says that this leak of information is a “vulnerability” associated with the “enormous dimension of the intelligence in the United States”, which has “many thousands of people working”.
The investigator, who has already worked for NATO, now considers it essential to find out if Jack Teixeira acted alone or in a group, to “dry up that source of information”, what other documents he could have consulted and what motivations he had, in order to understand if , for example, used this information to “promote your image as someone important” or if the purpose was to sell the data.
