In this first phase, which took place on the 14th, more than 25,000 military personnel, 167 war and support ships, including 12 submarines, 89 aircraft and helicopters, took part, Shoigu said.
Anti-submarine forces conducted searches near the Gulf of Peter the Great, on the Primorsky Coast and in Avacha Bay on the Bering Sea, and long-range aircraft were moved to forward airfields, he said. minister.
Troops are currently moving to the southern part of the Sea of Okhotsk, Shoigu said.
According to the head of Defense, the final phase of the maneuvers will begin on Tuesday.
Fleet forces will conduct exercises to detect and destroy enemy submarines and groups of ships, and will practice artillery fire against air and sea targets.
