A four-story building housing a garage collapsed in Manhattan, New York, near Pace University on Tuesday. At least one person was killed and five injured, according to Reuters.
The cause of the collapse, according to police, was a problem with the construction of the building.
It would be the second floor of a garage that collapsed on the first, CBS indicates. Images circulating on social media show stacked cars and the wreckage of the collapse.

Due to the instability of the structure, the firefighters who arrived first on the scene were evacuated.
However, according to The New York Times, authorities realized they were mobilizing a rescue team, with drones and robots, to find any victims under the rubble.
