The president of the Duma (lower house of the Russian parliament), Viacheslav Volodin, demanded the use of weapons capable of destroying the regime in Kiev on Wednesday after a drone attack on the Kremlin that Moscow attributes to Ukraine.
“We will demand the use of weapons capable of stopping and destroying the terrorist regime in Kiev”wrote Volodin on the Telegram social network, where he also called for Ukraine to be considered a “terrorist organization”.
The Duma leader said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was “on the same level as other international terrorists” for allegedly ordering “terrorist attacks” against Putin’s official residence in the heart of Moscow.
Last Wednesday, the Kremlin accused Ukraine of attempting to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin with a drone strike reportedly targeting the headquarters of the Russian presidency last night.
“Politicians in Western countries who pump weapons into the Zelensky regime should realize that they have become not only patrons, but also direct accomplices of terrorist activities.”accused Volodin.
In a similar vein, the leader of the Just Russia party, Serguei Mironov, said in a statement that the alleged Ukrainian attack on the Kremlin is reason enough to justify the “elimination of Ukraine’s terrorist elite”.
