Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev calls for Zelensky’s “elimination”

“After today’s terrorist attack, there is no choice but to physically eliminate Zelensky and his gang,” Medvedev, the current “number two” of Russia’s Security Council, wrote on the Telegram social network.after Ukraine rejected any connection to the incident in the center of the Russian capital.

For the former Russian president, it is not necessary for Zelensky to live, “nor is it necessary to sign the unconditional surrender”, recalling that in World War II “Hitler did not sign it either”, referring to the fact that the former leader German committed suicide before the fall of the Third Reich.

Medvedev added that “there will always be someone who will take his place, as happened with President and Admiral (Karl) Donitz”, referring to the figure who inherited the leadership of the Third Reich after Hitler’s death and the surrender of Germany to World War II. .

Russia on Wednesday accused Ukraine of attacking the Kremlin with ‘drones’ on Tuesday night, with the aim of assassinating Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Kremlin considers the attack on the Kremlin to be “a planned terrorist attack and an attempt on the life of the President of the Russian Federation, committed on the eve of Victory Day and the May 9 military parade”.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has denied that his troops attempted to assassinate Vladimir Putin.

“We are not attacking Putin or Moscow, we are just fighting on our territory and defending our towns and cities,” Zelensky said in Helsinki.at a joint press conference with the leaders of Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Iceland.

The military offensive launched by Russia in Ukraine on February 24, 2022 has so far led to the flight of more than 14.6 million people – 6.5 million internally displaced persons and more than 8.1 million to European countries – according to the latest data from the UN, which classifies this refugee crisis as the worst in Europe since World War II (1939-1945).

At least 18 million Ukrainians need humanitarian aid and 9.3 million need food aid and shelter.

The Russian invasion – justified by the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, with the need to “denazify” and demilitarize Ukraine for Russian security – was condemned by the international community at large, which responded by sending weapons to Ukraine and Russia political and economic sanctions.

The UN presented 8,709 dead civilians and 14,666 injured since the start of the war, underlining that these numbers are far from real.
