Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi reappeared this Saturday, a month after being hospitalized for pneumonia derived from the leukemia he suffers, with a speech recorded at the hospital where he said he was ready to return to the political struggle.
“I have continued to work during these weeks and now I am ready to reorganize Forza Italia, ready to resume our battles for freedom with you,” he said in a recorded message released at the close of his political party’s convention in Milan.
Berlusconi appeared seated at a table, with several papers and two copies of books: “I am here for you, for the first time in a shirt and suit after more than a month,” he said.
