A 38-year-old woman survived eight days lost in a wooded area of ​​northeast Australia, drinking water accumulated in puddles, the country’s authorities said Wednesday.

The woman, identified as Rickki Mitchell, is in good condition and was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries and scratches, Queensland police said.
