The United Nations estimates that more than three billion dollars (more than 2,700 million euros) are needed for humanitarian aid to Sudan, as well as for refugees, due to the situation in the country.
For emergency humanitarian aid, the United Nations says it needs $2.6 million, following a review of the aid plan for Sudan that in December last year referred to a need of $1.75 billion.
For the refugees who fled the country because of the fighting that broke out in April, the UN indicates a need of 407.4 million dollars.
The situation worsened in the country after the start of clashes between the Army and the Forças de Reação Rapida paramilitary group.
The UN predicts that by the end of the year more than a million people will leave the country due to the military situation.
