Russian forces resumed shelling of kyiv late Thursday, according to the city’s civil and military administration, which said all missiles had been intercepted and destroyed.
“Another airstrike on kyiv, the 13th in a row since the beginning of May. And as always, at night,” the administration said on the Telegram platform.
“According to preliminary information, all enemy targets in Kiev airspace have been detected and destroyed,” it added, noting that the cruise missiles were launched by Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Caspian region.
In the daily morning ‘briefing’, the Ukrainian General Staff counted 55 Russian airstrikes in the last day, including 36 with ‘drones’ [veículo aéreo não tripulado] with explosives and four missile attacks.
“An S-300 missile hit a dam in the Karlivka area of the Donetsk region (east),” the General Staff said. “As a result, there is a great danger of flooding to neighboring communities,” he added.
On the other hand, in Russia, “an explosion” caused damage to a building in Krasnodar, a city near Crimea, without causing fatalities, said local authorities quoted by the Russian news agency Ria Novosti.
A pro-Russian news outlet, Readovka, posted a photograph on Telegram of a building with a damaged top floor and roof.
“The cause of the incident is being investigated,” Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeny Naumov said on Telegram, adding that the roof of a neighboring building was also damaged.
