Moscow continues to attack Ukrainian airfields. The Ukrainian Air Force announced that an airfield was hit by a Russian strike near the town of Kropyvnytskyi in central Ukraine.
Russian forces launched “six missiles and five attack drones,” Ukrainian air force spokesman Yuriy Ignat said on television. “Of the six (missiles), four were destroyed by air defense and two hit the airfield near Kropyvnytskyi,” he added.
Airfields targeted a few days ago
On Monday, Moscow claimed to have attacked “airfields” in Ukraine and “destroys” all its targets. “Command posts, radar posts, as well as aeronautical equipment, facilities used for the storage of weapons and ammunition of the Ukrainian armed forces were affected,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a press release.
The Khmelnytsky regional administration, in western Ukraine, had indicated for its part that a military site had been hit by a Russian attack, suggesting that it was warehouses and an army airfield. She had reported “fuel depot fires,” a damaged airstrip, and the “dismantling” of “five flying devices.”
