Starting this Thursday, February 1, highway toll rates will increase with the annual review of contracts planned between the State and the concessionaires.
Increases generally limited to +3%
“These reviews essentially take into account reference inflation and compensation for investments not foreseen within the framework of the contracts signed in 2006 or imposed by the State,” the Eiffage group explained to Le Parisien, one of the main operators. with its subsidiaries APRR and ÁREA, that is, 2,323 kilometers of motorways in France.
This is far from the network operated by Vinci Autoroutes, with 4,443 kilometers in total through its subsidiaries Cofiroute, ASF and Escota. In Vinci, the increase remains contained below 3%, except for the toll of the A86 duplex, a 10-kilometer tunnel between Rueil-Malmaison (Hauts-de-Seine) and Vélizy (Yvelines), where the increase will be 4.77 %. .
In most networks the increase does not exceed 3% for light vehicles, much less than last year, when prices shot up by 4.75%.

Increase of 1.40 euros for a Lyon-Montpellier
The Le Parisien article offers concrete examples of increases on different routes passing through different networks. Example with Lyon-Montpellier (via the ASF network and the Millau viaduct), the price increases from 30.30 euros in 2023 to 31.70 euros from February 1, 2024, an increase of 4.62% . This corresponds to an increase of 1.40 euros for a trip.
