Winter holidays: difficult traffic expected on Friday and Saturday

Bison Futé expects traffic difficulties in the direction of departures starting on Friday, in Île-de-France and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, as well as on Saturday, more in the eastern half of the country.

This Saturday, January 10, the winter school holidays will begin for Zone C (academies of Créteil, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse and Versailles).

Starting Friday, risks of traffic jams are expected, especially because it will also be the start of the winter holidays in the southern part of the Netherlands and Carnival in Luxembourg, underlines Bison Futé.

“The majority of tourists will head towards the ski resorts of all our mountain ranges and, for residents of the Ile-de-France, mainly towards the Northern Alps,” the statement said.
