Although we still do not know the amount of the 2024 ecological bonus, new models can now benefit from the main aid for the purchase of an electric car in France.
An aid that, therefore, remains for the moment at the amount planned for 2023, that is, 5,000 euros for an individual. While the 2024 bonus decree remains a priori suspended from the appointment of a Minister of Transport, this waiting attitude certainly causes some confusion among professionals, but a priori benefits buyers. In fact, the amount should be reduced to 4,000 euros, maintaining the super-bonus at 7,000 euros for less advantaged households (aid linked to government social leasing).
The Scénic 60kWh in this update
A decree of February 5 published in the Official Gazette and which comes into force this Thursday, February 8, adds new models to the list of models that have achieved the minimum necessary environmental score. It thus completes the list published on December 15, with a bonus that only affects electric models “made in Europe”.
Instead, the new list includes other versions of the models already offered in the initial list. This is especially the case of the new Renault Scénic, with a number, the “Type Variant Version (TVV)”, which corresponds to the 60 kWh version (“comfort range”). Until now only the 87 kWh (“long autonomy”) version was available. The bonus is generally paid, or rather deducted from the invoice, by the dealer at the time of delivery, so it must be applied to all versions of the Scénic at the start of its marketing announced next spring.
Tesla Model Y confirmed
Another version of the Tesla Model Y also appears. A simple engineering code that simply confirms that the Model Y Propulsion is always eligible, regardless of the motor/battery combination offered by the manufacturer. When the first list was published, Frandroid had identified that the two proposed codes corresponded to an original BYD battery associated with two different types of motors.
Enough to allow Tesla’s superstar SUV to soon move back ahead of the Model 3, after a month of January in which the American sedan finished in third place among best-sellers behind the Peugeot e-208 and the Dacia Spring. In fact, the Model 3 and the Spring, produced in China, are no longer eligible for the bonus and therefore benefit from the last deliveries under the 2023 bonus and before the implementation of the environmental score (orders before 15 December 2023 and delivery before March 15). 2024).
