Although the implementation of the technical inspection of two wheels faces a significant wave of protests, this measure would ultimately not be so unpopular. 73% of users surveyed positively welcome this new obligation, indicates the latest insurance barometer from BPCE L’Observatoire*.
Among the most favorable population categories are women (82%), people aged 35 to 49 (85%), residents of the Paris region (85%), users of motorized 2 wheels for less than 5 years (78%) and those who drive lower displacements, mopeds and light motorcycles of less than 125cm3 (77%).
Unpopular with those over 50
On the contrary, the measure is less appreciated by those over 50 years of age (41% approve of the measure), and 2-wheel users for more than 10 years (38%).
We also found rates of favorable people lower than the average of 73% among men (69%) or users of motorcycles larger than 125cm3 (60%). But the categories that still mostly agree with the implementation of this technical control.
