At midday, 450,000 homes were still without electricity after the passage of Storm Ciaran, as Thierry Sudret, director of operations and systems at Enedis, announced to BFMTV this Friday.
Brittany remains the most affected region, with 314,000 customers still without electricity, followed by Normandy and, in particular, the department of Manche, where 115,000 homes have not yet been supplied.
“We will see it more clearly at the end of the day”
Enedis remains cautious at this stage regarding recovery time. “It’s still difficult to say, in the end we will see it more clearly. It is starting to be more accessible almost everywhere, so we are starting to be able to make more complete diagnoses,” explained Thierry Sudret.
However, “there are a certain number of hard core groups, particularly in central Brittany and in the department of Manche, where networks have been cut,” he added. In these areas, the cuts “will likely last.” Elsewhere, power restoration should take place “over the weekend.”
