The Competition Authority announced this Monday that it had carried out “an unannounced visit and seizure operation” at a company in the production and distribution of food and non-food products suspected of anti-competitive practices, without naming it.
“The investigation services of the Competition Authority carried out (Thursday), with prior authorization from a judge of liberties and detention, an unannounced visit and a seizure operation of a company suspected of having applied anti-competitive practices in the sector of the production and distribution of food and non-food consumer products,” the statement states.
“At this time, this intervention obviously does not prejudge the guilt of the company affected by the alleged practices, which only an investigation into the substance will allow, where appropriate, to determine,” it is added.
