Service stations: the region-by-region point on shortages this October 18

The Government assures that the situation is improving at the national level thanks to the measures adopted. But regional disparities remain strong.

Between the requisitions of personnel, the increase in imports and the end of the conflict In Esso, Elisabeth Borne indicates this Tuesday to the National Assembly that “less than 25% (24.8%) of the service stations were sold out at noon against 30% last weekend” and 28.1% yesterday .

While the situation is improving at the national level, regional disparities remain strong. In particular in Bourgogne-France-Comté with 40.2% of stations having at least one fuel shortage, in Ile-de-France (36.9% compared to 40.9% yesterday), in Auvergne-Rhône -Alps (34.6%) or even in Occitania (26.3% compared to 30.5% yesterday).

“I fully measure the difficulties of millions of French people who, even today, are punished by strikes in oil deposits and refineries. I asked the prefects to requisition the employees necessary for the operation of certain deposits,” said Elisabeth Borne on Tuesday.
