Financial Markets Authority: the appointment of Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani validated by Parliament

Proposed by the Elysee three weeks ago, the appointment of Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani as head of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has just been approved. He thus succeeds Robert Ophèle for a term of five years.

Green light from the National Assembly and the Senate. Both chambers approved the appointment of Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani as head of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), according to a Senate press release.

After hearings before each of the Finance Committees of the two chambers, the majority of the members voted in favor of his appointment, proposed at the end of September by the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron. He succeeds Robert Ophèle for a non-renewable term of five years.
