Danone warns that Evian bottles destined to be destroyed end up for sale in Marseille

However, the group says that it “has recently been informed of the unexplained presence of bottles corresponding to these batch numbers in local stores in Marseille”, Bouches-du-Rhône. Danone specifies that he has informed the competent authorities and has filed a complaint “to understand what has led to this unacceptable situation.” The group also invites people in possession of a 50cl Evian-brand water bottle “with labels in Korean or Arabic” to contact its consumer service on 0800 125 125.

A source who requested anonymity had previously alerted AFP to a case of resale of Evian bottles not fit for consumption, citing the figure of 1.4 million bottles that had to be destroyed by a company that Evian paid “several tens of thousands of euros” to do so.
