If there is “progress” between the social partners on pension reform, but there is no “general agreement”, a text will be presented to Parliament, François Bayrou responded on Wednesday to the head of the PS, Olivier Faure, who wants Parliament take over even in case of disagreement.
“A situation is likely to arise where scope for progression, movement, change and adaptation has been identified without there being general agreement. If this is the case, we will propose text that addresses these adaptations and advances and we will submit them to the Assembly,” said the Prime Minister before the deputies, during the session of questions to the government.
