The new government forecast of an economic growth of 0.7% in 2025 in France is “possible”, but it could be “perhaps slightly lower” due to the strong uncertainties related to the uncertainty launched by the United States, the first president of the auditing court said on Friday.
Pierre Moscovici, also president of the High Public Finance Council (HCFP), said in France 2 that this organization would give its opinion “next week” about this government growth forecast, reduced on Wednesday from 0.9% to 0.7% due to uncertainties around US customs tasks.
“Consensus is quite 0.6%”
“But I wonder if we have integrated in this figure all the risks that present us before us. For example, if the war in good trade produced many uncertainties, and that, in any case, there is uncertainty, this growth could still be a bit lower,” he developed. “We can expect 0.7, I would say today, but let’s say that the consensus of economists is quite 0.6 and some are 0.5″%, “he added.
The Bank of France tries to increase 0.7% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) this year, while the French Observatory for Economic Conditions (OFCE) reduced its prognosis on Wednesday 0.3% due to French political uncertainty and the danger of a large and sustainable commercial conflict.
