467 Tax Niches: The Minister of Public Accounts wishes “to eliminate what is useless”

Guest of the TF1 Morning Morning this Wednesday, Amélie de Montchalin indicated that the abolition of the 85 billion euros in tax niches could lead to a long -term reduction.

Is the government considering a reduction in the tax lagoons of the next budget? The day after the presentation of François Bayrou for the 2026 budget, Amélie de Montchalin was on the TF1 set on Wednesday to discuss the clues to restore the budgetary situation of France.

Among these roads are significantly the case of tax niches 467 in number, including several dozen “benefits of less than 100 taxpayers”, according to the minister responsible for public accounts.

After looking “what is not effective” or “that only benefits from some”, the minister wants to “eliminate what is useless.” “Our compass is that we do not increase taxes for the French, she insisted. We prefer to have lower taxes for everyone instead of high taxes with some that have very strong fiscal reductions.”

“A salary shield” so that “work pays”

Amélie de Montchalin also mentioned the issue of work with the ambition that this “pays”, regretting that certain employees fear an increase in their remuneration because it would reduce the level of help from which they benefit. “We want to live better about his work and not live better with help,” he hit, remembering the problem of unemployment among young people and the elderly.

Finally, the minister responsible for public accounts also expressed himself in the issue of a reimbursement of care and medicines according to income. “Social Security has a deficit of 22 billion euros, he recalled. If we continue, we will kill Social Security that cannot generate so many debts. 80 years ago, there was never any doubt that the system is making debt. Otherwise, our children will pay today’s drug boxes.” As such, he confirmed the next presentation of “A Great Plan” together with the Minister of Labor, Health, Solidarity and families Catherine Vautrin.
