“Totally oriented”, “in the commissioned mission”: the CGT punishes the Pension Orientation Council report

The Pension Guidance Council report, which must be adopted on June 12, is denounced by the CGT, who sees it as Emmanuel Macron in the presentation of decisions.

The CGT has considered “completely oriented” the new report of the Pension Guidance Council (CR), deplorating that the president of this body is “in the ordered mission” for the ELYSÉE, by preserving the retirement retirement system.

“Gilbert This, (the president of the CRO, a note of the editor) is in a mission commanded by Emmanuel Macron,” criticized the trade unionist, noting that the “pre -informer” appeared the day after the symbolic vote by the deputies of a resolution for the abrogation of the reform of 2023 that provides in particular the decrease in the legal age of 62 to 64 years.

In its report, consulted by AFP and that must be formally adopted on June 12 in a plenary assembly, the CR has described as “recessive” three of the four tracks to preserve the financial balance of the system (moderation of the increase in net retiree pensions, increased employee retirement contributions, increase in employer’s pension contributions).

It suggests a fourth option: the “decrease in retirement age that allows an increase in employment rates.”

A recommendation that goes wrong

“The COR only exists through the opinions of its council, it meets Thursday. Therefore, there is no orientation in the pensions that exist for time at the level of the Cor … except to want to electrify or bister the work of the current conclave. What is unacceptable,” reacted AFP YVan Ricordeau, assistant secretary of the CFDT.

The report is published while negotiations to discuss the reform of 2023, discussions from which the CGT has been withdrawn as fo on the side of the Union, entered the final stretch, for a conclusion on June 17.

“For the first time, we have a report that only retains only one unilateral hypothesis, which is Gilbert this. The other hypotheses do not present,” he also criticized the deputy of LFI Eric Coquerel on Saturday, president of the Finance Committee in the National Assembly, in Franceinfo.

Gilbert this, support from Emmanuel Macron during the 2017 presidential elections, was appointed in October 2023, assuming the position of Pierre-Louis Braz. The latter had been strongly criticized by the Executive by declaring the National Assembly that “retirement expenses do not slide.” Pierre-Louis Braz’s replacement by Gilbert had been denounced by unions.
