The carrier’s customers will have to change the dates between November 28 and December 19, according to the company’s clarification.
“Given the advance announcement of the cabin crew strike on December 8 and 9, TAP informs that customers wishing to change the dates of their flights during this period may do so without penalty between November 28 and December 19.” posted by the airline on the social network Twitter.
TAP says that “although it is negotiating with the cabin crew union” and “hopes an agreement will be reached that can prevent the strike”.
TAP crew members announced a strike on December 8 and 9, called by the National Union of Civil Aviation Flight Personnel (SNPVAC), citing “discontent, rebellion and malaise” among the workers as the reasons.
TAP and the unions are negotiating the revision of the Company Agreement (LR), as part of the restructuring plan.
TAP proposes, among other things, pay cuts and flexible schedules.
Crew members want the current company agreement to be the starting point and basis for future negotiations.
