The State will request 5,300 million euros in communities savings in 2026, according to a document transmitted by Matignon to the press on Tuesday during the presentation of a plan of almost 44 billion savings for François Bayrou.
The system for drilling the fiscal income of the communities, which amounts to one billion euros in 2025, will be “renewed” for the 2026 budget, the prime minister announced. These 5,300 million savings, “is 13% of the general effort,” said the François Rebsamen press, a space planning minister.
The president of the Local Finance Committee reacted immediately considering that these savings are “unacceptable.”
