The extraordinary support of 10 cents per liter for fuel consumed in the agricultural sector in 2021, to mitigate the impact of price increases, was created this Wednesday by a published diploma that takes effect on Thursday.
Take advantage of these extraordinary support holders of cards for the supply of colored and marked diesel issued by the General Directorate of Agriculture and Rural Development and registered in the IB database – Identification of the beneficiary of the Institute for the financing of agriculture and fisheries (IFAP) .
“Cardholders for the supply of colored and marked diesel fuel not registered in the IB database – Identification of beneficiaries can register within a period of 10 days from the date of entry into force of this Decree-Law to benefit from the extraordinary support,” reads in the legislative decree.
This support, approved on November 3 by the executive, will be paid in a single payment until the end of 2022.
In a note released by the Ministry of Agriculture on the day the diploma was approved by the Council of Ministers, Agriculture Minister Maria do Céu Antunes said the aid will cover about 140,000 farmers and is “relevant to stability of agricultural activity”, since it aims to reduce the increase in production costs associated with fuels.
