An American Court of Appeals authorized the Government on Friday to continue sleeping a federal body for the protection of banking clients, as well as to dismiss agents. The interim director of the Office of Consumer Protection in Financial Affairs (CFPB), Russ Vought, had announced in mid -February employees to sleep the body, inviting them to “not come to the office” and wanted to reduce the office skills to a large extent.
In the first instance, in March, a patio based in the US capital Washington had requested the suspension of sleep and the dismissals provided, a decision now informed by the Court of Appeals, by two votes against one of the judges responsible for the file. According to the opinion of the judges, published at the same time as the decision, “the court in the first instance was not competent in claims related to the loss of employment.”
The CFPB had spent on February 3 under the direction of the new Treasury Secretary, Scott Besent, who had requested the suspension of all surveys in progress, leaving a more indulgent approach to finance actors. A union of public officials presented two appeals in the process, believing that Russ Voucht’s decisions were “illegal.”

Russ Vought, one of the main editors of the controversial “Project 2025”, was appointed by Donald Trump to the head of the Office of Management and Budget (WBO), an important agency that helps the president to decide on political priorities and their funds.
“Project 2025”, whom Donald Trump had assured during his campaign to not be associated, is a 900 -page program formed by the Heritage Circle of Reflection Foundation, whose objective is to be an unofficial and radical road map, carried out by relatives of very conservative background. He proposes significantly to make federal agencies to centralize the Executive Power in the hands of the White House and, therefore, allow the implementation of a very conservative policy on subjects ranging from immigration to abortion.
The CFPB was created in 2011, following the great financial crisis of 2008. The Association of American Bankers (ABA) had welcomed in early February of the change of government at the head of the agency, hoping to see its new leaders repair “the damage caused by unknown regulatory measures.”
