The CGT wants the September 10 movement to be “a first successful step” and calls “to build the strike whenever possible”, after its National Confederal Committee that was held on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to a press release. During Friday’s interunion, the CGT will also propose “calling a unitary interprofessional mobilization and manifestations in September.”
If several federations (chemistry, commerce and services) and the departmental unions of the CGT called to demonstrate on September 10, the general secretary of the organization, Sophie Binet, was prudent in the face of a “mist” with a risk of “nucleus of the extreme right”.
