Tupperware France leaves the safeguarding procedure and is aimed at 100 million euros in the billing before the end of the year

Leaving the safeguarding procedure, France Tupperware relaunch its activities and will show an ambitious goal for the end of the year.

The “lunchboards” are back. Tupperware France, assumed in March by an entrepreneur who hopes to relaunch the brand in five European countries after bankruptcy in the United States of the famous food manufacturer, left its safeguard procedure, the company announced to the AFP on Tuesday.

After years of financial difficulties, tupperware, emblem of housing sales, it declared bankruptcy in September 2024, weakened by competition at low prices and the development of meals delivery, also a victim of the consumer’s desire to limit its plastic consumption.

A month later, Tupperware, created in 1946, announced an agreement with its creditors, with the commitment to sell them intellectual property “necessary for the creation and commercialization of the Tupperware brand”, as well as the sale of certain assets in the United States and in other foreign subsidiaries.

In the process, Tupperware France, 99% owned by Belgium Tupperware, had been placed in safeguarding procedures.

In March, businessman Cédric Meston, co -founder of the plant substitute brand for Happyvore Meat, had announced Buy Tupperware France with his associates, hoping to quickly take it out of his safeguard procedure.

It is now made, according to a judicial document dated from the end of July, consulted by AFP.

Relaunch activity and expand its range

The company now operates the brand in “five strategic European markets”: France, Belgium, Germany, Italy and Poland.

It still intends to achieve 100 million billing for the end of the year, while sales were still in the first quarter.

To do this, he plans to “reconnect” with his network of independent vendors who popularized the brand and quickly remake more than 20,000 advisors in Europe, 2,500 in France.

Beyond its famous plastic containers, the company wants to highlight other products, such as stainless steel or glass closure boxes, kitchen utensils, large isothermal glass or mini mechanical clutch.
