Health insurance could soon reimburse thermal priests for patients in AD (long -term condition), according to a decree draft that must be presented next week to obtain the advice of the National Health Insurance Fund, we learned from concordant sources.
According to this draft of the decree, mentioned on Thursday by the Parisien and consulted by AFP, patients in AD who today benefit from a 100% reimbursement of their spa priests would only be entitled to the future than to the reimbursement of other insured persons, or 65%.
Similarly, Patients with ALD would no longer benefit from a 100% reimbursement of their medications with low medical service, but 15% reimbursement provided other social insured people. The Minister of Health resignation, Catherine Vautrin, said in July that she wanted to “question” the maintenance of the 100% reimbursement of this patient care in AD, in the context of measures aimed at curbing the skate of health insurance expenses.
The current resignant government cannot publish decrees of this type, which can only administer current issues. But the collection of the opinion of the CNM Council (advice) will allow the next government to quickly adopt the decree if you wish. According to the sources interviewed by the AFP, the CNM Council Legislation and Regulation Commission must examine the decree project next week, for an entry into force on February 1, 2026.
No consensus within the medical profession
Questioned by AFP, the president of the National Council of thermal Establishments (CNETH) Thierry Dubois lamented an extremely harmful measure for the profession “, to the extent that ALD patients represent about 25% of patients in thermal treatment. However, he recalled that these patients remain reimbursed in 65% health insurance, and that there was no project” in general. “
The interest of the thermal priests does not make consensus within the medical profession, and the votes increase regularly to question their reimbursement for health insurance. The Auditors Court last April considered that “in the current context of social finances, it would be necessary to question this attention.” She suggested that high health authority is making an opinion on the subject.
