China “becomes very hostile”: Trump threatens a “massive” increase in tariffs and no longer wants to meet with Xi Jinping

For the American president, there “no longer seemed to be any reason” to see his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, in South Korea in two weeks, as planned.

Donald Trump considered on Friday that China “is becoming very hostile” and added that there “no longer seemed to be any reason” to see his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in South Korea in two weeks, as planned.

One option being considered is a “massive” increase in tariffs on Chinese goods entering the United States, he added.
